you win some and you lose some… it is almost always a team effort…
a classic ender…
i have yet to post anything about music thus far… i have a serious passion for music…
i love how much music has changed and morphed in my short life… there are so many genres and sub-genres now that it gives people so much more to explore! i take it upon myself to find this music… i use the word “find” because it is like a journey for me… i go through the “music genome” and check out random bands… you never know what you will find… it is one of my favorite feelings to find a new artist that i dig… it is refreshing…
the main reason i wanted to bring up music is to hate on the music industry… i understand they have gotten screwed over the last few decades with digital music and all but… i mean… i have heard one too many great artists get signed by a label and go to shit… the most recent in my eyes has been Band of Horses… their new album is beyond disappointing… i wish they never left Sub Pop…
you would think the music genius’ would appreciate the up and coming bands raw sound… instead the label over-produces the artist’s next album… in turn, they take away the original sound the artist intrigued their fan base with… it starts as art but inevitably turns into a venture for dollar bills… it really bums me out…
there is something out there for everyone… go on your own online music store journey… see where you end up and what you find…

think of that instance we all experience when you are falling off your board…
you know that moment of uncertainty? you know that thought of “everything is f#cked?” you know that feeling of being scared?
i love this… but i also hate it… you need to learn to embrace the failure and pain… if you can get beyond the pain, it will make you stronger… guaranteed… you realize that failure and pain you experienced was temporary… it was not that scary…
i love falling… i hate being hurt or temporarily hindered but it is so awesome to build off of it… i embrace the pain i feel… i learn from and focus on it… i have tried to take whatever pain i feel at the time and focus on it so hard that it just becomes another standard feeling or emotion… it is insane…
again, your mind is so powerful… you can convince yourself you are hurt or injured… it is easy… but again, challenge yourself… see if you can beat your mind… live/skate/power through it…
realize that everyone falls… don’t be embarrassed of falling, ever… get up. do it again. and again. and again.
