so… last night i went to the premier of the new emerica video “stay gold”… i was beyond hyped for it… reynolds and kirchart have always been in my top 5… so the lineup was already in my favor…
the video gets going pretty quickly… you start seeing some old footage of heath… it immediately took me back… it reminded me of the good ol’ days when skating was super raw and new… i was getting even more fired up… next thing you know it’s new kirchart footage! the dood is outta control still! i am not a fan of noseslides but he noseslides a near face high ledge! the guy is not afraid of anything…
heath has paved the way for me and a shitload of other skateboarders… he has always been true to skateboarding… he skates for himself… skates hard…
i could go over the numerous classic tricks he has thrown down at insane spots… it would take a long time… i am pretty sure i am going to review every video part he has made now…
i am writing about heath because i heard a rumor that the video part i saw last night was the last one he would ever make… i hope that doesn’t mean i will never see him skate again… the dood is a legend… whether you skate or not and you are reading this, look him up… he displays the meaning of not giving a shit and just skating…
hey Heath… Respect.
new spots and new vibes… got pretty hyped on the music to this montage… the streets! are the best… there is a bunch of good b-roll footy that’ll follow later this week… party…

peep this blog… it is awesome if you are a denverite… keeps you posted on all the construction going on or planning to be done around the city… a good heads up for new street spots and city development!
we went down to Roxborough skatepark and sessioned the park for a while… we started bbqing and taking in the beautiful views of the mountain side… next thing you know the doods are running up the mountain and bombing the sidewalk… pretty sure it is not safe.

dog days in denver makes a return… some unseen footage from whenever…
the longer and longer i am away from my family i realize more and more i am trying to get away… from what i am still not sure… i love my family and friends with all of my heart… i owe my entire life to them… i am indebted to them forever… they are really all i have…
i wish i understood more of why i am keeping myself distant from them… they love and support me beyond anything i could type in this passage… being away from them makes me uncomfortable… but i embrace that insecurity… whenever i am with my friends and/or family there is never a dull moment… they make me feel amazingly comfortable… at home…
i wanna continue my experiences in life with more randomness and awkwardness… when i am away from my family i can find discomfort… insecurity… doubt… and fear… sounds like a bunch of shitty feelings but they are real… that is a huge shout out to my family! your support, love, and understanding cannot be replicated…
i guess i wrote this to shout out to my family that they kick ass and melt faces… i also wanted to reiterate to people that you cannot find yourself if you are always in your comfort zone… get out… whatever that means to you… get out.
peace and noLove!
if you haven’t already seen this, well then watch it! one of our noLove homies crushing a mini ramp back in the day…
a classic for sure!
here is a lil video on how to roast a pig named Larry… sorry about the lack of shredding but we had some serious work to do… it takes about 18+ hours to cook one of these piggies… enjoy!
i don’t know if i have written about the police… i think i have before… this one should be a bit more fun…
i was recently issued a ticket for skateboarding on a pedestrian mall (16th Street Mall in Denver)… i was on my way to a bus to get to the airport… i had a few bags with me… i was not skating fast, but casually… i was listening to my headphones when i catch out of the corner of my eye an awesome human with a navy blue jumpsuit on waving me over… i was so mesmerized by his dope gear that i had to see what was up…
as i approached him, i removed my headphones and said, “what’s up?”… he asked for my ID and he began quizzing me about the most amazing things in my life… my favorite was when he asked me where i lived… i told him downtown… and he said, “oh, so you know that you cannot skateboard on the mall, right?”… licking my chops and planning my next sarcastic/smart ass reply, i exclaimed, “yep!”… he was taken back… i mean, so surprised that i said i knew riding skateboards on the mall was prohibited… this is when the conversation got spicy…
he asked why was i shredding on the mall… i told him i didn’t care about the law… he didn’t like that… he told me he could arrest me for saying that… i said, “you can, but that would not be cool”… we continued to chat…
i started telling him that i believe in my own personal morals in what is right and wrong… little laws like the one i was getting busted for was one (of many) that i do not care for… he didn’t like this… he went on a rant about if we all decided on which laws we would like to abide by there would be chaos… i told him i agree fully but i am a good person… my morals are solid… he again did not like this and threatened me with arrest…
the best part of all this happening was the cop deciding when or when not to write tickets for people breaking the law… the entire time i was getting a ticket, people on their bikes were cruising by (which is also prohibited)… these people were merely told to get off the bike… no ticket issued… nothing… he was proving my point that we use our discretion and morals to decide what is right and wrong! he didn’t even realize it… i love it…
i also want to take a moment to hit on the laws we have created to keep everyone under control… they are insane and outlandish! i will continue to skate on the 16th street mall… we need to do a better job of teaching the youth of what is right and wrong… we also need to do a better job of teaching what is important and what is not…
peace and noLove!
