these diets are too extreme… they are unhealthy and unnatural… you deny your body a ton of necessary nutrients…

it seems less like of a cleanse and more like a money-making strategy motivated by fear… telling people they need to get rid of all the toxins in their bodies by depriving it of important nutrients is weird… that sounds unhealthy, if anything… telling people that they are cleansing their internal organs is plain wrong…

you can never fully cleanse your body, yo! you consume toxins in more ways than just the food you eat… these cleansing companies fail to mention that when you inhale some “fresh air”, a ton of toxins are put into your system… unless you breathe through a filter, you’ll never be cleansed…

don’t get tricked into a cleansing diet… instead, eat right… that’ll help your body just fine… we live in a polluted place… escaping the pollution takes more extreme measures than consuming raw veggies and lemon water…

save yourself the money and suffering… we all end up in the same place anyway… enjoy everyday…

i understand that animals need to be killed in order to eat the meat they provide… i believe and know there are humane ways to go about this… the problem is that humanity is ignored in these factory farms… these factory farms not only raise the animals they are killing, but they give them life… there is nothing natural about these operations… we are powerful and smart creatures… we have shown that we can dominate the planet (and slowly destroy it)… can we not find a way to radically change the way we distribute food in the US? not many other countries operate in this fashion…

we need to continue to make people (and especially our youth) aware of the way food makes it into our bellies… it is not as simple as it seems… in the food industry, knowledge is power… with the interrogation of High Fructose Corn Syrup, there have been radical changes to this part of the industry… “throwback” real sugar soda, real ketchup, and packaging notices have all come about… people do have a bit of power in what they eat… the business men that run the food industry (not farmers) need to make their cash, so if we change how and what we eat so they will change too… they love money…

i posted a video below that affected me… it really makes you think twice about what you eat, buy, and support… i found myself at the grocery store the other day not knowing what to do… feeling a bit sick to my stomach… then realizing that everything that would be “ok” to get is mega pricey… we have to demand a change in this industry…

food is not a business… food is a way to perpetuate life… shame on the people who exploit it.

i have a lot of support and people to lean on which is gonna help me get through this tough time… but you can’t only rely on support… that is why it is called “support”… you gotta be self-motivated… you gotta find something and someway to fight through tough times…

noLove keeps me inspired… it motivates me to keep going whenever i wanna give up… i would never give up on skateboarding, so i use this same theory for other facets of life… do it for noLove…

the reality we live in can bring you down… your support group has to keep you afloat… your passion needs to keep you inspired… and you need to do it for noLove…

i have always respected the skateboard… it’s a treacherous invention… you lose your focus or stop thinking while you are on one for a split second, you will find yourself in pain on the ground…

my recent experience with this lesson was skating drunk at the end of the day… the rain started falling after a street filled saturday… we found shelter and a spot in a parking lot… we were just messing around grinding painted curbs… i was getting psyched on the session… i lost my composure and hit a crack… not knowing my board was no longer under my feet, i continued pushing… i quickly found myself flying through the air and sliding on the ground… my thigh and elbow were instantly destroyed…

it has been two weeks since the mega push bail… i am nowhere near healed up but i can skate…

i cannot help but reflect on this bail… pushing? you can get this hurt by pushing? we were skating some big spots that day with way more injury-potential… but pushing drunk takes me out… go figure… right?

never take your health for granted… always respect the skateboard…

he is a quiet guy… he is one of those guys that when he speaks, you should listen… i am not trying to say he is super serious because he jokes around a ton… he is a wise dood… and even more skilled on a thrash stick!

he goes about his business the good ol’ fashion way… he lets his skateboarding/passion do the talking… his persistence and stamina is beyond that of anyone else i have skated with… it’s beyond inspiring… he is always skating hard too… whether he is filming or not, he goes for it… and he always gets back up… ALWAYS.

yesterday i was informed that his part from Denver Shop’s new video “Stakes is High” was posted on Thrasher’s website… headline reads, “Mile High Madness“… it would be better if it said, “Overdue: Tyler Price”… the guy has been killing it in the Denver scene for years… he grew up in CO and has kept it real since i’ve known him…

well, congrats Tyler! you deserve it! everyone in CO has your back… now it’s time the industry does too!

i have gone off on hip hop before, but these opening acts made it hard to not hate… of course anyone can grab and microphone and flow… there are many words that rhyme with each other… that’s not the point.

your voice, style, and purpose needs to have some originality and consistency… your lyric need to be about something other than money, bitches, and bling… no one knows you… no one cares… it’s up to you to make them care…

tribe called quest said it best back in the day, “phony rappers”… i never fully understood who they were talking about… and Del said “fake as fuck”… i get it now, doods… i saw a bunch if these posers and it was beyond infuriating…

but then i started thinking about how debilitated i was yesterday… i had to leave work because I felt awful… all because of a little bacteria in my insides? really? bacteria are tiny little bastards… humans should be able to crush these suckers, right? i mean, don’t we have the ability to build buildings, make lasers, change climates?

well, this bacteria pretty much crushed my world for about 18 hours… i realized that we are not as powerful as we think we are… we are just as tiny and insignificant as bacteria…

we grow up and into the reality we are raised in… the way Americans see the world is somewhat similar… you grow up and get a good paying job… you find a partner… you get a house… etc… all for what? for comfort? for happiness? we all have our own opinions on where we are going and what our purpose is… i understand that…

i don’t think anyone knows what we are doing or why we are here… why do we complicate so many things? why do so many people not see the simplicity to life? why do we do bad things to one another?

i understand why some things were created (government for control, money for control, religion for sense of purpose, etc), but doesn’t anyone see that we have lost the simplicity to life?

if we taught our youth that being alive is a gift in itself, many things would be different… i can’t say exactly what would be different, but being humble would be more of the norm…

Humble:
Having or showing a modest or low estimate of one’s own importance.

man… our purpose should be becoming humble… think about that…

when he told me i’d be allowed to make a promo video, i didn’t know what to do or how to go about it… the amount of footage we have compiled over the last 3 years was daunting to think about going through… the more i thought about the promo video, the more it turned into me thinking about a full length video… well, i only had about a minute and a half to work with!

once i realized that, i decided to make a standard noLove montage… using my favorite tricks that the homies had been done more recently… it came out just how we skate… and that felt better than awesome… not epic, not formal, not important… just us shredding and chilling… hell yeah.

when the premier became a reality, i couldn’t wait to see what we made playing on the big screen! never in my stupid life did i think anything i made would be worth putting up for others to see (and it still prolly wasn’t worthy, but who gives a f*ck!)…

the sight of our skating on a movie screen was dope… although nervousness and anxiety were prominent, i beyond enjoyed the moment… i don’t get that excited about many things, but this was mega cool… hearing a few hoots and hollers kicked ass…

i appreciate the opportunity and experience… i appreciate the people watching and accepting how us old doods skate!

what it means is take your passion (whatever it is) and run with it… do what makes you feel whole… it makes everything worth it!

at first i was nervous about the new spot… it was a bit more of a destination than the old spot… i though less people would come through because of that… but not true! more people have come by and killed it…

skateboarding continues to bring us together and make us stronger… it’s an amazing thing to witness… when we get over our differences, we gain respect for one another…

respect is the only thing we strive for in skateboarding… respect for our individuality… our perspective… our commitment…

so keep coming by the club… invite more homies… we need to spread the noLove to more people… they need to see how we roll… how we skate hard, party hard, and come together… it’s awesome.
