priorities…

this piece is going to have a bit of bias in it, but it’s been on the mind…

i am a big believer in that people will usually think they live in the best city, town, place more often than not… i understand this thought process… but, really Colorado is the best 🙂 haha!

when i find myself shitting around on social networks, people often post polls that rank cities in their awesomeness or not so awesomeness… the polls range from “best place to raise a child” to “most snooty cities”… granted, the polls are not always held by the most prestigious polling organizations, but they still count for something…

more often than not, i noticed Denver and/or Colorado being in a favorable category… being at the top of all the awesomeness and at the bottom of the non-awesomeness… it got me thinking a bit about how awesome Denver and all of Colorado is… then it got me thinking about why other people don’t live here… then it got me thinking about people’s priorities in general…

lots of people jam themselves into big cities… big cities are exciting and fun, but is this really the best place to live? i feel like your quality of life takes a big hit when you surround yourself with shit tons of strange people… being trapped in an urban jungle can have it’s benefits if you are a skateboarder… most everyone else is chasing money and bullshit…

out here in Denver, Colorado, we have the best of it all! mountains, rivers, lakes, open-air, downtowns, uptowns, year-round sun, great beer, legal weed, skate parks, forward thinking, an outdoor mindset, and more… our priorities seem to be a bit different from other cities… the city promotes an outdoor lifestyle and it influences the way the town functions… lots of patios, outdoor events… we have headspace… it’s a city that you can live in, comfortably… you’d have to come experience it to understand what we do…

so, when you see these random polls about quality of life floating around on social networks, see where your city ranks… think about why you live where you live…

Denver kills it…

peace and noLove…
