and time goes on…

you go through life and there are certain points in your life when you reflect… you look back and see where you’ve come from and what you’ve accomplished/failed at… years go by and you realize how much you’ve learned and changed… you see also how much the world around you has changed… it’s insanely amazing.

i have been using my birthdays as a chance to reflect on what i went through (good and bad) the previous year…

i went through an injury that didn’t affect my physical abilities as much as it affected my mental toughness… getting hurt bad enough to go to the hospital while on a solo skateboarding session changed my perspective of “just cruising the park for a minute”… fracturing my wrist was not worth skating that morning… there are a ton of excuses as to why it happened, but i could have avoided it…

a few weeks after i fractured my wrist, i sprained my ankle super bad… i was hobbled on my left side for about 3 weeks… i did what i could (filmed, motivated) while i healed up… i recovered fully by running and self-motivated rehab… it was mentally and physically difficult, but it was a good lesson and reminder… without your health, life is that much harder…

you need to take care of your body… if you ignore it, it’ll let you down… this last year reminded me that if i want to continue shredding, i need to take care of my body… working out and staying healthy will lengthen my skateboarding career.

i’ll do whatever it takes to skateboard forever…

peace and noLove…
