thanks, body…

i have been amazed at how my body has healed up so fast from my fractured wrist… while i was waiting for that to heal up (which wasn’t too bad because you can skate with a bum wrist) i sprained my ankle pretty good too… it was one of those instances when your front foot slips over the nose of the board and rolls over… it really put me out for about a month… i am finally getting to flip my board again, which is cool…

i cannot put into words how much i hate being hurt or sick… not being 100% pisses me off… but this time i used my injuries as time to heal other parts of my body… taking time to rehab my shoulders (that pop out like there isn’t anything holding them in place) has been key… my arms can flail around like pudwill’s with no consequences…

my wrist will end up being stronger… whenever you break or fracture a bone, it heals up and becomes stronger… i am hyped on that because before there was excruciating pain when i would fall on it/bend it back… it seemed like the fracture was inevitably going to happen, but having it fucked during the winter is cool with me…

as for the ankle, it has also been jacked up for years… i would skate on it, and it would become weak… if i’d skate on it and take a break, it would get super tight and i’d have to warm it up again… but it hurt like hell doing so… the top side of my ankle was in bad shape… when you sprain your ankle, a ton of blood rushes to the spot to try to fix it up… well, this happened and i think the blood fixed some other ailments in my ankle because it feels way better… i am relearning how to flip my board, but i’ve needed to do that since i started skateboarding!

all in all, the human body is a thing of beauty… what it’s able to do and recover from is something to be cherished… we are usually in good health and ignore our bodies… take care of it and it’ll take care of you…

peace and noLove…
